Walthall hosts statewide dairy field day May 24
MISSISSIPPI STATE -- Everyone involved in Mississippi’s dairy industry is invited to the Mississippi State University Statewide Dairy Field Day May 24 in Tylertown.
Educational topics to be covered include coping with high fertilizer and corn prices, dairy reproductive management, safety concerns with operating emergency power generators, and body condition scoring for dairy cattle. The capstone presentation of the day is an overview of a pasture-based dairy operation in Missouri given by the operations manager. Dairy producers, managers, employees and allied industry personnel are encouraged to attend.
There is no cost to attend, and registration for the field day begins at 8:30 a.m. with sessions running from 9:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Attendees can browse educational and commercial exhibits after registration.
