Mississippi hosts tri-state
MISSISSIPPI STATE -- Hundreds of growers, crop consultants and scientists meet in Stoneville on Jan. 8 at the 53rd annual Tri-State Soybean Forum.
The event is sponsored by the Mississippi State University Extension Service, the Louisiana State University Ag Center, the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service and the United Soybean Board, among other supporters of the soybean industry.
The meeting, which rotates locations each year among the three states, attracts up to 300 participants annually. Research and Extension personnel from MSU, LSU and Arkansas will make presentations during the program, which begins at 8 a.m. in the Entrepreneurial Center at MSU’s Delta Research and Extension Center. Registration for the free meeting begins at 7:30 a.m.
Topics on the agenda include soybean disease management, insect control, weed control, seed quality and other production issues. Participants will hear cost-effective strategies for mid-South soybeans.
