MSU specialists to lead state agronomy meeting
MISSISSIPPI STATE -- Agricultural consultants, certified crop advisers and others working in the field of agronomy can take part in an upcoming free educational meeting led by Mississippi State University researchers, faculty and Extension personnel.
Continuing education credits will be available at the Mississippi meeting of the American Society of Agronomy on Nov. 17 in the Grenada County Extension Office. Registration is due by Nov. 12.
MSU agronomists will cover a wide variety of topics, including fertility concerns in soybeans, corn issues, cotton management, disease identification, turfgrass and the current status of soybean production. An additional topic on the agenda is the use of poultry litter as a crop fertilizer.
For more information or to register, contact Dennis Reginelli, state ASA president and area agronomic agent with MSU’s Extension Service, at [email protected] or (662) 726-4326. There is no registration cost.
“The association’s goal is to provide information about crops and soils and the conditions affecting them,” Reginelli said. “We want to provide a medium for the exchange of ideas that is useful to agricultural workers in Mississippi.”
