Floral design class set for March 8
BILOXI, Miss. -- Floral enthusiasts and other interested individuals can learn techniques for designing floral arrangements for casual entertaining during a March 8 class.
In observation of International Women's Day, Jim DelPrince, floral specialist with the Mississippi State University Extension Service, will demonstrate fresh flower design using materials from the yard and garden.
The class will be held at the MSU Coastal Research and Extension Center, located at 1815 Popps Ferry Road in Biloxi. It begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 3 p.m. Registration is $20 per person and includes refreshments. Seating is limited.
Topics include using unusual containers and extending the life of floral arrangements. After the workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to talk with DelPrince and learn about upcoming floral classes and workshops.
