Pest management workshop set for Jan. 24 in Raymond
RAYMOND, Miss. -- Agricultural professionals are invited to attend the 2019 General Pest Management Workshop Jan. 24 at the Central Mississippi Research and Extension Center in Raymond.
Experts with the Mississippi State University Extension Service and Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station will discuss insect management, weed control, disease management, and pesticide safety and regulations related to various agricultural and horticultural industries.
Check-in begins at 8 a.m. The program begins at 8:45 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Preregistration is required by Jan. 17 and costs $20 per person. Lunch is included. To register after Jan. 17, contact Rebecca Melanson at 601-857-2284 to check seating availability. The Central Mississippi Research and Extension Center is located at 1320 Seven Springs Road.
Individuals who hold consultant and commercial pesticide applicator licenses and certifications can renew credentials expiring within 12 months. Consultant certification categories that can be renewed are A, F, G, J, K, L, M and N. Commercial certification categories that can be renewed are I(A), III, V, VI and X.
