Annual turfgrass field day offered virtually Sept. 17
STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Mississippi State University Extension professionals offer training and expertise annually at a research field day, and the event will happen in 2020, just differently.
This year’s MSU Turfgrass Research Field Day will be offered virtually Sept. 17 from the R.R. Foil Plant Science Research Center. The event will be a live, video webinar from 10 a.m. to noon.
As always, turfgrass managers can learn the latest research from MSU on landscape care and maintenance. This year, interactive presentations will provide a thorough overview of ongoing chemical and cultural management trials conducted at MSU.
The event brings together experts from MSU Extension and the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station. MSU researchers Jay McCurdy, Maria Tomaso-Peterson, Barry Stewart and Hongxu Dong will make live presentations this year.
The virtual program welcomes landscape architects, lawn care professionals, turf students, golf and sports turf managers, and school coaches and superintendents, as well as MSU Extension agents.
The event is free, thanks to generous support from event sponsors. Register for the virtual field day at http://extension.msstate.edu/content/virtual-msu-turfgrass-research-field-day-2020.
