Welcome Home 4-H Agent Mrs. Jan Garrett!

Lee County Extension Office wishes the warmest of welcomes to, Mrs. Jan Garrett, our newest 4-H agent! You might recognize her, as she has been a vital part of our team in the past. After working with Lafayette County, she is now returning to Lee County and a place she can call "Home".

As a youth, Jan was an active member of the Lee County 4-H Horse Club, earning many awards through showing, judging, public speaking, and with her record book. Through the years, 4-H has remained close to her heart. As a mother, she made sure her children were involved in 4-H also. She was always there to help with whatever horse or livestock needed tending while guiding and cheering on them and others along the way.

After all her years of involvement with 4-H in one capacity or the other, she has accumulated knowledge that helps her daily in the tasks of being a successful 4-H agent. She combines her hands on experience with her degree from Mississippi State University to bring a unique combination of education & skills to our office. In her capacity as 4-H youth agent, her emphasis will be in agriculture directed programming, including horse, livestock, poultry, and shooting sports.
